It is common between siblings to often feel like rivals. There’s constant tension if who’s the best, talented, smart, and loved. Siblings tried to impress their parents to affirm that they’re the best among the rest of his or her siblings. Well, if you are the only child, you’re free of that pressure. But if you have siblings, competitive ones, rivalry is present.
Most of the siblings compete by doing great in school and get consistent higher grades. But others who aren’t good at school they look for something they’re good at and be proud of. But with this older sister and her younger brother, it feels a little sweeter.
In a Twitter thread posted by @julyangarsiya, she narrated how she realized something when she saw her younger brother’s grades and compared it to her own. Her Twitter post made rounds on social media and many can relate to it.
She figured out that, even though she had the quantitatively higher grades and her brother wasn’t, he is enjoying himself than her. She realized that what’s more important is what made her and her brother happy.
She also stressed on the thread that grades are so important as well as education. However, we should never forget to live even outside of school and not make it our entire world. She even quoted:
“there’s a bigger world outside the school campus and in that world, you will find out who’s the real you”

Many got inspired by this brother and sister. Also, many can relate to what she’s trying to say, there’s life beyond school.
“I’m beyond happy with my academic achievements but then I don’t feel so complete because I still don’t know the path I will take and then it feels like my only purpose is being at school and my world revolves around it.”
We are sure that she’ll find her way, knowing her brother is always there to help her. What a great balance!
