There will be days while we work where our skills and passion for our job will be test. Oftentimes, these tests include our honesty and analytical skills, since these are the most important things to consider us to be fit for our jobs, but sometimes, these tests are only based on our characters. These type of challenges are not set to us by our supervisors and employers, but by circumstances and situations that usually just measures our depth as person.
Being a flight attendant is never an easy job, staying in a flight for hours is very tiring. You attend to many queries and requests made by passengers throughout the whole flight. They are lucky if they don’t encounter rude passengers, but when they do they’ll need a lot patience because they kind of people are truly a hassle.
A Flight Attendant shares her most memorable experience on flight. Patrisha Organo, was scheduled for her check flight, it’ll be a test if she will qualify as a Cabin Crew Evaluator. The flight is a big step on her flying career, thus she considers that particular flight as something very special.
She narrated that everything went smoothly until after take off. An infant’s cry was heard all over the aircraft, that when we heard it, she immediately wanted to assist. She approached the mother and asked if everything’s okay, but she noticed that the baby was hungry and so she told the mother that the baby should be fed.
Unfortunately, the mother who was near to crying, had ran out of milk formula. She felt a pinch in her heart. There was no formula milk onboard, thus she thought of anything that could help, and she immediately remembered to offer, one thing. Her own milk.
The Line Administrator on her flight, Ms. Sheryl Villaflor, immediately assisted the mother to the galley where she breastfed the baby. She continued to feed the baby until she fell asleep.
She reiterated that she can see relief in the mother’s eyes.
The mother must have been very worried too, but thankfully a kind-hearted angel onboard, who never thought twice when helping her.
She then escorted them back to their seat and the mother sincerely thanked her before she left.
Patrisha Organo got qualified as an Evaluator, but moreover, she considers that flight as something very special since she was able to extend her help to others.
“I breastfed a stranger’s baby inflight. Thank you, Lord for the gift of mother’s milk.” Patrisha said in her Facebook post.
These moments don’t always happen to anyone, thus being able to meet people who will always be ready to extend a helping hand is truly remarkable. When someone is passionate with their job and are very kind-hearted as a human, they will never hesitate to help other people. Patricia must have been happy being able to help another mother, because she is a mother herself.
